About NJ-ACS ACDG
The NJ-ACS Astrochemistry Discussion Group, if it were ever to be formed, would bring together North Jersey based astrochemists who examine chemical compositions and processes of stars, planets, comets, and interstellar media.
They would look at how atoms, molecules, ions, and free radicals interact outside of Earth’s atmosphere, they would contribute to our understanding of geological processes on other planets, and they would explore conditions under which life might form by examining molecules on other planets and in outer space.
Meetings would be held monthly to discuss recent breakthroughs, with occasional field trips to area observatories that generally start 2 hours after sundown and last all night (with ample supplies of pizza and coke on hand).
(The actual purpose of this category page and its two postings is for testing WordPress features — that is to say, it’s a sandbox!)
