Careers in Transition (CIT) – ChemJobs meets on the second Monday of each month to help those in transition and others seeking to enhance their careers.
The meeting schedule is posted on the Section’s home page, in addition the meeting times are given in The Indicator. You are strongly urged to register when you are planning on attending a meeting to ensure we will have adequate facilities. Please fill out the registration form on the right.
We are also available at most topical group meetings. At the meetings, a job board will be available for your perusal and we are willing to introduce you to key hiring managers that are present. You are welcome to join us in a pre-meeting session which starts an hour before the meeting. During the session you will be given advice on perfecting your elevator speech and ways that you can prepare for encounters with key hiring personnel. Contact Bill Suits at if you will be attending a pre-meeting session..

National Chemistry Week (NCW) is a community-based annual event that unites ACS local sections, businesses, schools, and individuals in communicating the importance of chemistry to our quality of life.
As life in Northern New Jersey returns toward normal after Sandy, I want to thank you for providing me the opportunity to serve as Chair of the North Jersey Section (NJ ACS) for 2013. I look forward to working with all of you to continue to support the ACS mission “Improving people’s lives through the transforming power of chemistry.”
