CACS was founded in 1981 as a volunteer-based, non-profit professional
organization. CACS addresses the common interests and concerns of
Chinese American chemical professionals. It has established a mentor
program to help new comers gain quick footing in their professional
careers in the US. It presents Young Chemist Awards annually to
outstanding high school students to help cultivate their interests
in chemical sciences. In addition, Tri-State CACS is providing "China Opportunities"
